We at Islet share Microsoft’s vision to empower every person and organisation to achieve more. Islet is a Microsoft Gold Partner and committed in long-term to realize this vision. Islet is happy to sign Microsoft’s Partner Pledge, launched earlier this week, as a promise to make an impact for the future, to continue our work in these important areas and inspire other Microsoft partners and stakeholders in the technology industry to join forces in contributing to these initiatives.
Microsoft’s newly launched Partner Pledge Programme aims to use technology as a force for good. Microsoft invites their over 70.000 partners in Western Europe to become ambassadors in four focus areas:
- Digital skills
- Responsible and Ethical AI
- Diversity
- Sustainability
Improving Digital Skills is in Islet’s DNA and Islet commits to be the ambassador of Microsoft Digital Skills initiative. Islet has invested decades in Isletters’ digital skills – as an example, this year alone over 70% of Isletters have completed technology related certificates. Moreover, the leading principle behind Islet project delivery methodology is to train customers to use the implemented solutions so that they can benefit from the full potential. It is also our mission to teach how to use technology well and sustainably, and to raise awareness and increase the digital skills in our surrounding communities.
Islet has always been a pioneer for diverse and versatile working and thinking in the tech world. We have been supporting gender equality and diversity throughout Islet’s history, with our female founder and CEOs, diverse workforce, and inclusive company culture. Earlier this year, Islet and SAP joined forces to increase diversity and gender equality in technology industry through supporting and participating to the #mimmitkoodaa movement and organizing a free-of-charge challenge related to user interface design and application development. Next to equal opportunities, we support and promote unbiased, ethical technology and AI for Good, as well as commit to providing technology and resources to empower organizations working to solve global challenges.

Microsoft certified and published recently Islet’s Emission calculation & reporting application made for any organization to collect and visualize emission data, measure their environmental impact and make informed decisions and actions to reach their sustainability goals. As a member of the UN Global Compact Network Finland, Islet also commits to report on the progress and continuously educate ourselves and look for new ways to meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The UN Global Compact promotes and develops the ecological, social and economic responsibility of companies and communities.

Islet is also a part of International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners (IAMCP), that has a mission to act as a community that helps Microsoft ecosystem organizations and Microsoft partners to network for joint success.
