On binoc­u­lars — new Islet­ter Juk­ka Penttinen

It is a great plea­sure to tell you about the newest mem­ber of ISLET fam­i­ly. Juk­ka Pent­ti­nen has land­ed on our island! Juk­ka start­ed on Octo­ber 16, 2018 as ISLET Group’s Chief Busi­ness Offi­cer. Since 2001, SAP tech­nol­o­gy has tak­en Juk­ka around the world – he has par­tic­i­pat­ed in 60 SAP imple­men­ta­tion projects in 15 dif­fer­ent coun­tries. Juk­ka has always been inter­est­ed in lat­est tech­nolo­gies and he has also prac­ti­cal expe­ri­ence from the newest SAP tech­nolo­gies such as S/4HANA.

“In the SAP world, Juk­ka is a rar­i­ty – not only he mas­ters large com­plex pro­grams but also he is a sea­soned SAP Solu­tion Archi­tect with abil­i­ty to dig into the details. Jukka’s expe­ri­ence and great per­son­al­i­ty will help our cus­tomers to maneu­ver changes in their busi­ness envi­ron­ments and to reach new lev­els. Juk­ka is now one of ISLET own­ers and togeth­er with him we will con­quer new con­ti­nents”, says Jan­i­na Luo­to, CEO and own­er of ISLET.

My ISLET role is com­pre­hen­sive, I will offer my vast exper­tise to our cus­tomers, devel­op our cus­tomer rela­tion­ships and our busi­ness, Juk­ka Pent­ti­nen says.

Pre­vi­ous­ly Juk­ka has worked among oth­ers at Accen­ture and as an inde­pen­dent SAP Con­sul­tant. He moved to ISLET from Tieto, where he was respon­si­ble for a team of 20 senior lev­el project and pro­gram man­agers. He also led glob­al cus­tomers’ SAP projects. Under Jukka’s wings, the projects are com­plet­ed in time and in bud­get. He also mas­ters com­pre­hen­sive­ly dif­fer­ent project method­olo­gies, such as Agile and SAP Acti­vate and com­bines dif­fer­ent approach­es flex­i­bly based on customer’s needs and pro­gram scope.

Juk­ka is known for his strong process under­stand­ing. He has a deep under­stand­ing and a long expe­ri­ence in logis­tics process­es, espe­cial­ly from machin­ery man­u­fac­tur­ing and from its ser­vice busi­ness. In addi­tion to lead­ing dif­fer­ent projects and pro­grams, along his career, he has had wide­ly dif­fer­ent roles in var­i­ous projects. He has worked as a solu­tion con­sul­tant, a tester, an archi­tect and he has been respon­si­ble for mas­ter data and cutover. Juk­ka has devel­oped SAP logis­tics solu­tions near­ly ten years at Met­so and over 5 years at Wärt­silä.

Jukka’s most impor­tant asset is his fam­i­ly – fan­tas­tic wife and two love­ly daugh­ters. You may also find him on Bad­minton courts since he is a pas­sion­ate bad­minton play­er. Warm­ly wel­come to our island, Jukka!
