Ser­vi­ca Oy, a ser­vice com­pa­ny, has cho­sen Islet as its part­ner for a project that is renew­ing Ser­vi­ca’s ERP with the help of the SAP S/4HANA solu­tion. Islet will imple­ment the SAP trans­for­ma­tion project as a turnkey deliv­ery. The project also includes con­tin­u­ous ser­vices. SAP S/4HANA is a cloud-based busi­ness man­age­ment and plan­ning plat­form that enables more flex­i­ble and effi­cient data man­age­ment and busi­ness operations. 

Ser­vi­ca pro­vides its own­er-cus­tomers in the North Savo region with food, trans­port and equip­ment main­te­nance ser­vices, facil­i­ty main­te­nance and tech­ni­cal ser­vices, as well as com­pre­hen­sive mate­r­i­al logis­tics ser­vices in a reli­able, high-qual­i­ty and respon­si­ble man­ner, all the way from Kuo­pio to Kiu­ru­vesi and from Vesan­to to Varkaus. Ser­vi­ca has a long his­to­ry from the SAP ERP sys­tem to the pro­duc­tion of com­pre­hen­sive mate­r­i­al logis­tics ser­vices and the oper­a­tion of logis­tics oper­a­tions. In addi­tion, the com­pa­ny uses a mod­ern, cloud-based SAP Ari­ba solu­tion as a cus­tomer order­ing system.

Ser­vi­ca’s mis­sion is to pro­vide ser­vices so that soci­ety can func­tion. The col­lab­o­ra­tion between Ser­vi­ca and Islet is part of the com­pa­ny’s efforts to dig­i­tize and auto­mate busi­ness oper­a­tions. The aim of the project is to improve busi­ness effi­cien­cy, trans­paren­cy and report­ing. The SAP S/4HANA solu­tion will be imple­ment­ed on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

We are excit­ed about the col­lab­o­ra­tion with Islet, which will enable us to migrate to the lat­est ver­sion of SAP S/4HANA. This project will bring sig­nif­i­cant ben­e­fits, such as improved per­for­mance, more effi­cient mate­r­i­al and inven­to­ry man­age­ment, and more flex­i­ble oppor­tu­ni­ties to inno­vate. We want to con­tin­u­ous­ly and com­pre­hen­sive­ly improve the qual­i­ty and effi­cien­cy of our ser­vices. Through this coop­er­a­tion, we will be able to offer our own­er-cus­tomers reli­able and pro­fes­sion­al ser­vices even more cost-effec­tive­ly than before.

The project will start imme­di­ate­ly and is planned to be com­plet­ed by the end of the year. The val­ue of the con­tract is approx­i­mate­ly EUR 1.2 mil­lion, and as part of the agree­ment, Islet will also pro­vide Ser­vi­ca with SAP sys­tem main­te­nance and devel­op­ment services.
