ABB runs SAP enterprise resource planning systems broadly in their operations. ABB and Islet have jointly developed the system in different fields since the year 2013. In addition to projects, ABB and Islet are continuously doing small scale development on ABB’s SAP systems and in this way expanding its functionalities and building new interfaces to external systems.
In 2014, ABB Drives executed a comprehensive integration project in cooperation with Islet. In the project, a new data handling process that linked ABB’s SAP system and an external cloud based system, was implemented. The process was developed to meet ABB’s distinctive business needs. Integrated and automatized information flow improved data reliability and enhanced the entire process. The advantages of the integration project have been remarkable, and the solution is being implemented globally by ABB.
Islet’s nearshore Hungary team and its professionals with extensive SAP programming and application consulting expertise, have had an active role in ABB Drives’ SAP system development projects. The development tasks have been coordinated by a Finnish coordinator and executed by our team in Hungary. Communication with experts in the same time zone has been easy and smooth. The development tasks have been executed on a timely and flexible manner, based on the needs of ABB. Islet’s Hungary team has provided large-scale projects and small-scale development for over 15 years for Finnish and global SAP customers.
