Joule: Expand­ing the Pow­er of AI

SAP’s AI assis­tant, Joule, received major upgrades.

• Proac­tive Intel­li­gence: Joule now deliv­ers rec­om­men­da­tions and auto­mates tasks based on user behav­ior and data analysis.
• Com­pli­ance Mon­i­tor­ing: Joule tracks reg­u­la­to­ry changes (e.g., trade rules) and flags affect­ed prod­ucts or processes
• Strate­gic Fore­cast­ing: Joule offers oper­a­tional impact fore­casts and deci­sion sup­port across busi­ness areas, from sup­ply chain man­age­ment to work­force planning.
• Wider Inte­gra­tion: Joule now works across SAP and non-SAP plat­forms (e.g., Ser­vi­ceNow), great­ly expand­ing its utility.
• By the Num­bers: Joule cur­rent­ly sup­ports 1,600 skills and 230+ AI sce­nar­ios, with a tar­get of 400+ sce­nar­ios by the end of 2025.

SAP Busi­ness Data Cloud: Uni­fied Intelligence

In col­lab­o­ra­tion with Data­bricks, SAP intro­duced new intel­li­gent appli­ca­tions that bring togeth­er data from both SAP and non-SAP sources:

• Cloud ERP Intel­li­gence empow­ers Cloud ERP Pri­vate Edi­tion cus­tomers with data prod­ucts, AI, and busi­ness sim­u­la­tions across finance, sup­ply chain, HR, and sustainability.
• Peo­ple Intel­li­gence: Uses SAP Suc­cess­Fac­tors data to gen­er­ate AI-dri­ven insights into employ­ee skills and work­force trends.
• Spend Intel­li­gence (Spend Con­trol Tow­er): Deliv­ers a com­pre­hen­sive 360° view of direct and indi­rect spend, includ­ing trav­el expenses.

Busi­ness Trans­for­ma­tion Management

• WalkMe Inte­gra­tion: Already avail­able in core SAP appli­ca­tions (e.g., Suc­cess­Fac­tors, Ari­ba, Con­cur) and com­ing to Pub­lic and Pri­vate Cloud ERP by the end of the year 2025.
• Process Improve­ments: AI-dri­ven Trans­for­ma­tion Advi­sor and Root Cause Analy­sis in SAP Sig­navio, and AI-assist­ed archi­tec­ture guid­ance in LeanIX.
