I am born and bred in Kuo\u00adpio and main\u00adly spend my free time at my sum\u00admer cot\u00adtage. Some of my hob\u00adbies are pho\u00adtog\u00adra\u00adphy and infor\u00adma\u00adtion tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy. I have also been get\u00adting famil\u00adiar with 3D print\u00ading. In what kind of orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtion and role do you work?<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong>I work at Istek\u00adki Oy<\/strong> which is a grow\u00ading and devel\u00adop\u00ading infor\u00adma\u00adtion, health and well-being tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy expert organ\u00adi\u00adsa\u00adtion with over 600 employ\u00adees\u2019 and oper\u00ada\u00adtions all over Fin\u00adland. We pro\u00advide ICMT tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy ser\u00advices for health care and munic\u00adi\u00adpal oper\u00ada\u00adtions. My own role at Istek\u00adki is design\u00ader in appli\u00adca\u00adtion ser\u00advices, with main\u00adly SAP main\u00adte\u00adnance responsibility.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n I have worked with SAP since 2002. At first, I worked for the City of Kuo\u00adpio in local key user role for half a year and then jumped into Kuo\u00adpio pro\u00adcure\u00adment in sys\u00adtem key user role. My tasks revolved around tech\u00adni\u00adcal main\u00adte\u00adnance, devel\u00adop\u00adment and coor\u00addi\u00adna\u00adtion, so after that I moved to sys\u00adtem main\u00adte\u00adnance in the City of Kuopio\u2019s ADP cen\u00adter. In 2009 the Kuo\u00adpio Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty Hospital\u2019s Tek\u00adplus and ADP cen\u00adter merged and gave birth to Istek\u00adki, where I have con\u00adtin\u00adued work\u00ading main\u00adly with SAP along with cou\u00adple of oth\u00ader systems.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n What is the best thing in your work?<\/strong><\/p>\n The best thing in my work is its vari\u00adabil\u00adi\u00adty, as well as how we aim to tack\u00adle the chal\u00adlenges and to ease pro\u00adce\u00addures of the sys\u00adtem from the user point of view. We don\u2019t do things just for the sake of tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy, but rather the need comes from the cus\u00adtomer. For exam\u00adple, devel\u00adop\u00adment and elec\u00adtri\u00adfi\u00adca\u00adtion of the cen\u00adtral ware\u00adhouse have result\u00aded in a great amount of pos\u00adi\u00adtive feed\u00adback from the users.<\/p>\n In devel\u00adop\u00adment, cost pres\u00adsures bring their own chal\u00adlenge, and the made changes have part\u00adly helped to reduce costs while func\u00adtion\u00adal\u00adi\u00adties remain the same. For exam\u00adple, trans\u00adfer\u00adring depart\u00adment stor\u00adage rooms refill ser\u00advices func\u00adtion\u00adal\u00adi\u00adties from a sep\u00ada\u00adrate sys\u00adtem to SAP did improve usabil\u00adi\u00adty while it also reduced sep\u00ada\u00adrate main\u00adte\u00adnance costs at the same time. In a large-scale order com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adty com\u00adpro\u00admis\u00ades are nec\u00ades\u00adsary, and not all wish\u00ades can always be ful\u00adfilled com\u00adplete\u00adly. Nev\u00ader\u00adthe\u00adless, it has been nice to notice that con\u00adsid\u00ader\u00ading the sys\u00adtem use rate and order quan\u00adti\u00adties the year\u00adly growth has continued.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n How do you think your sec\u00adtor will develop?<\/strong><\/p>\n One appar\u00adent devel\u00adop\u00adment direc\u00adtion is robot\u00adics, and espe\u00adcial\u00adly the use of arti\u00adfi\u00adcial intel\u00adli\u00adgence (AI). Users\u2019 rou\u00adtine activ\u00adi\u00adties in appli\u00adca\u00adtions are being autom\u00ada\u00adtized even more, and devel\u00adop\u00adment can also be seen in every\u00adday life, for exam\u00adple in cars that have high\u00adly devel\u00adoped assis\u00adtance sys\u00adtems. Also cloud ser\u00advices are grow\u00ading and devel\u00adop\u00ading in fast pace and IoT brings new pos\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adties. When work\u00ading in this sec\u00adtor in the mid\u00addle of all oper\u00ada\u00adtions, you may not rec\u00adog\u00adnize those changes to be such a huge thing, as the field is con\u00adstant\u00adly devel\u00adop\u00ading. In the begin\u00adning of this mil\u00adlen\u00adni\u00adum we couldn\u2019t even image all the things done today.<\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n What is your organization\u2019s core mes\u00adsage to stake\u00adhold\u00aders and customers?<\/strong><\/p>\n Build\u00ading a bet\u00adter work\u00ading Fin\u00adland. At Istek\u00adki we aim to ease and stream\u00adline cus\u00adtomers\u2019 work, com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsive\u00adly enable ser\u00advices that pro\u00advide mutu\u00adal val\u00adue and focus\u00ading on cus\u00adtomers to boost the devel\u00adop\u00adment of new solu\u00adtions.
