My free time is spent with fam\u00adi\u00adly and hob\u00adbies for chil\u00addren (6, 13 and 15-year-old). I&nbsp;spend most of my time exer\u00adcis\u00ading either on jog\u00adging tracks or in the&nbsp;gym.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.palkeet.fi\/en\/frontpage.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The State Trea\u00adsury and Human Resources Ser\u00advice Cen\u00adter<\/a><\/strong> (Pal\u00adkeet) is a&nbsp;sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant group ser\u00advice provider in the Min\u00adistry of Finance\u2019s admin\u00adis\u00adtra\u00adtion. Our goal is to pro\u00admote the effi\u00adcien\u00adcy of pub\u00adlic admin\u00adis\u00adtra\u00adtion by pro\u00advid\u00ading high-qual\u00adi\u00adty and cost-effec\u00adtive finan\u00adcial and human resources sup\u00adport and expert ser\u00advices. We pro\u00advide finan\u00adcial and HR ser\u00advices to gov\u00adern\u00adment agen\u00adcies, insti\u00adtu\u00adtions and funds, as well as to approx\u00adi\u00admate\u00adly 73,000 indi\u00advid\u00adual employ\u00adees with approx\u00adi\u00admate\u00adly 660 professionals.<\/p>\n<p>My role is rel\u00ada\u00adtive\u00adly new as my cur\u00adrent role start\u00aded at the begin\u00adning of this year. My area of\u200brespon\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty is the devel\u00adop\u00adment of finan\u00adcial man\u00adage\u00adment based on com\u00admon guide\u00adlines of the state admin\u00adis\u00adtra\u00adtion. Finan\u00adcial and human resource man\u00adage\u00adment is devel\u00adop\u00ading fast and the industry\u2019s needs are con\u00adstant\u00adly chang\u00ading. By 2025, accord\u00ading to the Pal\u00adkeet and indus\u00adtry, automa\u00adtion and robot\u00adics have large\u00adly replaced basic man\u00adu\u00adal tasks. In the future, the need for expert tasks will be empha\u00adsized. A&nbsp;change in the nature of the work has already begun. In the future, exec\u00adu\u00adtive automa\u00adtion and robot\u00adics will be increas\u00ading\u00adly respon\u00adsi\u00adble for exec\u00adu\u00adtive lev\u00adel work. Also, ana\u00adlyt\u00adics and arti\u00adfi\u00adcial intel\u00adli\u00adgence are uti\u00adlized in work tasks. From a&nbsp;ser\u00advice cen\u00adter per\u00adspec\u00adtive, future work empha\u00adsizes analy\u00adsis, sce\u00adnario build\u00ading, rec\u00adom\u00admen\u00adda\u00adtions for action, and sup\u00adport for prac\u00adti\u00adcal deci\u00adsion mak\u00ading. We are cur\u00adrent\u00adly reflect\u00ading on how to achieve cer\u00adtain lev\u00adels of automa\u00adtion and how to ensure the skills of our own staff as work changes sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant\u00adly in the indus\u00adtry. We have also bench\u00admarked com\u00adpa\u00adnies, for exam\u00adple, what future job roles would look&nbsp;like.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>To which direc\u00adtion is your field developing?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Automa\u00adtion and job changes are on the board agen\u00adda. The future change is also about real-time eco\u00adnom\u00adics, mean\u00ading that all infor\u00adma\u00adtion must be achieved in as real time as pos\u00adsi\u00adble. More and more are being intro\u00adduced for exam\u00adple online pay\u00adments and e\u2011receipts. We, the state, are pio\u00adneers in e\u2011invoicing and the goal is that by the end of 2019, 95&nbsp;% of the invoic\u00ades we receive from the state will be e\u2011invoices. In gov\u00adern\u00adment bills, the tar\u00adget is&nbsp;36&nbsp;%.<\/p>\n<p>Nowa\u00addays, there is the agili\u00adty of change, which means that in the future it will not be nec\u00ades\u00adsary to spend time on IT-projects 5\u2009\u2013\u200910&nbsp;years, they must be faster. The need for leg\u00adisla\u00adtive change also affects our indus\u00adtry and this is high\u00adlight\u00aded in my own work. Often the ques\u00adtion is how to keep the leg\u00adis\u00adla\u00adtion up to date with the change. Things can be done as well as before, even though they are now done with the help of automa\u00adtion. For exam\u00adple, the automa\u00adtion pro\u00advides bet\u00adter con\u00adtrol than just the human eye. I&nbsp;believe that cen\u00adtral\u00adiz\u00ading and automat\u00ading rou\u00adtine activ\u00adi\u00adties will give the var\u00adi\u00adous par\u00adties bet\u00adter time to focus on their core tasks. As access to infor\u00adma\u00adtion becomes auto\u00admat\u00aded and eas\u00adi\u00ader, so does the need for human com\u00adpe\u00adtence, as analy\u00adsis is need\u00aded to sup\u00adport deci\u00adsion-mak\u00ading. From sys\u00adtem ven\u00addors, we expect more to be done to improve the user expe\u00adri\u00adence, which means that the end user per\u00adspec\u00adtive is bet\u00adter con\u00adsid\u00adered when devel\u00adop\u00ading the system.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is your organization\u2019s key mes\u00adsage to its stake\u00adhold\u00aders and customers?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our cus\u00adtomer promise is: Part\u00adner at your service.<br> We empha\u00adsize our will\u00ading\u00adness and abil\u00adi\u00adty to enhance the effi\u00adcien\u00adcy of pub\u00adlic admin\u00adis\u00adtra\u00adtion through cost-effec\u00adtive and high-qual\u00adi\u00adty dig\u00adi\u00adtal ser\u00advices. We under\u00adstand that we need to work close\u00adly with var\u00adi\u00adous stake\u00adhold\u00aders. We have con\u00adscious\u00adly start\u00aded to change the way we do things, so that work\u00ading togeth\u00ader and shar\u00ading knowl\u00adedge is empha\u00adsized. For exam\u00adple, we have been among the first in our indus\u00adtry to imple\u00adment soft\u00adware robot\u00adics to our process\u00ades. We have not been wait\u00ading for what the world will bring, but we are work\u00ading active\u00adly to devel\u00adop val\u00adue for our cus\u00adtomers through busi\u00adness development.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>How does your orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtion retain top tal\u00adents and what makes your orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtion a&nbsp;great place to&nbsp;work?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>By pro\u00advid\u00ading inspir\u00ading and respon\u00adsi\u00adble work, that is, enough chal\u00adlenges and future pos\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adties. We strive to ensure the com\u00adpe\u00adtence of our per\u00adson\u00adnel so we can meet the future needs. We enable dif\u00adfer\u00adent knowl\u00adedge and learn\u00ading paths, for exam\u00adple, we have trained peo\u00adple inside the house to take on new job roles. This way we want to make sure that we have enough in-house expertise.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the best part of your&nbsp;work?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Being able to see and expe\u00adri\u00adence the change in the indus\u00adtry and to be able to influ\u00adence the direc\u00adtion of change by mov\u00ading things for\u00adward. I&nbsp;like being at the fore\u00adfront of devel\u00adop\u00adment to push things for\u00adward. The best thing is to work close\u00adly with dif\u00adfer\u00adent stake\u00adhold\u00aders, it being a&nbsp;cus\u00adtomer or anoth\u00ader stake\u00adhold\u00ader. Some\u00adtimes, for exam\u00adple, the chal\u00adlenge may be to see an over\u00adlap in action, with the same type of devel\u00adop\u00adment issues being brought togeth\u00ader with stake\u00adhold\u00aders that could have been com\u00adbined and solved togeth\u00ader. We have a&nbsp;very good team spir\u00adit, and even if we work hard, we usu\u00adal\u00adly keep our humor up to&nbsp;speed.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong>How would you describe the part\u00adner\u00adship with&nbsp;ISLET?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have been very pleased with the coop\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion. The exper\u00adtise we received from ISLET was good and exceed\u00aded our expec\u00adta\u00adtions. We received a&nbsp;good and com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsive pre-study on the joint project and clear action pro\u00adpos\u00adals for the future. It was impor\u00adtant to have a&nbsp;con\u00adcrete view of how a&nbsp;pos\u00adsi\u00adble change would be reflect\u00aded in our oper\u00ada\u00adtions and envi\u00adron\u00adment. The S\/4HANA Finan\u00adcial pre-study project helped us to see the future needs for change. ISLET was able to give a&nbsp;reli\u00adable pic\u00adture of this. The project left all the experts and par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpants in good spir\u00adits, which is often rare in projects of this scale.
