In the mul\u00adti-phase project, the Foun\u00adda\u00adtion\u2019s report\u00ading and ana\u00adlyt\u00adics solu\u00adtion was replaced with a mod\u00adern cloud-based data plat\u00adform and com\u00adpre\u00adhen\u00adsive Pow\u00ader BI report\u00ading, as well as ana\u00adlyt\u00adics capa\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adties. How\u00adev\u00ader, the oper\u00ada\u00adtional man\u00adage\u00adment of Lin\u00adnan\u00adm\u00e4\u00adki Amuse\u00adment Park was large\u00adly based on an out\u00addat\u00aded report\u00ading sys\u00adtem that relied on the infor\u00adma\u00adtion archi\u00adtec\u00adture main\u00adtained by an exter\u00adnal sup\u00adpli\u00ader. The pre\u00advi\u00adous solu\u00adtion was tech\u00adni\u00adcal\u00adly out\u00addat\u00aded, lim\u00adit\u00aded and dif\u00adfi\u00adcult to expand. In prac\u00adtice, day-to-day knowl\u00adedge-based man\u00adage\u00adment relied on Excel reports, and a sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant part of the report\u00ading work was man\u00adu\u00adal, which lim\u00adit\u00aded the abil\u00adi\u00adty to make agile decisions.<\/p>\n The chal\u00adlenges of the report\u00ading solu\u00adtion includ\u00aded down\u00adtime, a lim\u00adit\u00aded num\u00adber of data sources, and the lim\u00adit\u00aded pos\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty to pro\u00adduce more in-depth ana\u00adlyt\u00adics. Lin\u00adnan\u00adm\u00e4k\u00adi\u2019s sys\u00adtems could only pro\u00advide indi\u00advid\u00adual finan\u00adcial and oper\u00ada\u00adtional indi\u00adca\u00adtors, and if the data need\u00aded to be com\u00adbined more exten\u00adsive\u00adly with bud\u00adget or oth\u00ader infor\u00adma\u00adtion, an exter\u00adnal ser\u00advice provider had to be con\u00adtact\u00aded. There\u00adfore, the foun\u00adda\u00adtion of knowl\u00adedge-based man\u00adage\u00adment need\u00aded a thor\u00adough over\u00adhaul so that the organ\u00adi\u00adsa\u00adtion could mon\u00adi\u00adtor and opti\u00admise its oper\u00ada\u00adtions and sup\u00adport its core mis\u00adsion for child wel\u00adfare work.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Islet and the Chil\u00addren\u2019s Day Foun\u00adda\u00adtion start\u00aded their coop\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion with a data roadmap project, the pur\u00adpose of which was to define the future tar\u00adget state of knowl\u00adedge man\u00adage\u00adment in Lin\u00adnan\u00adm\u00e4\u00adki and to cre\u00adate an enter\u00adprise archi\u00adtec\u00adture that would sup\u00adport the organ\u00adi\u00adsa\u00adtion\u2019s long-term goals. Dur\u00ading this con\u00adsul\u00adta\u00adtion work, key data source sys\u00adtems, data enrich\u00adment oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties, and tech\u00adnolo\u00adgies such as the Microsoft Azure-based data plat\u00adform and Pow\u00ader BI tool for ana\u00adlyt\u00adics and visu\u00adal\u00adiza\u00adtion were identified.<\/p>\n The first con\u00adcrete devel\u00adop\u00adment step was the imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion of Pow\u00ader BI\u2019s Proof of Con\u00adcept (POC) on top of Lin\u00adnan\u00adm\u00e4k\u00adi\u2019s exist\u00ading data archi\u00adtec\u00adture. This POC project helped Lin\u00adnan\u00adm\u00e4\u00adki under\u00adstand the poten\u00adtial of Pow\u00ader BI as a mod\u00adern ana\u00adlyt\u00adics tool and received pos\u00adi\u00adtive feed\u00adback from the orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtion, which strength\u00adened the deci\u00adsion to expand the solution.<\/p>\n In the next phase, Islet imple\u00adment\u00aded a new data plat\u00adform with Lake\u00adhouse archi\u00adtec\u00adture (Medal\u00adlion archi\u00adtec\u00adture) for the Microsoft Azure cloud ser\u00advice. The core of the solu\u00adtion is Azure Synapse Ana\u00adlyt\u00adics, which enables effi\u00adcient data man\u00adage\u00adment and import from mul\u00adti\u00adple source sys\u00adtems, such as the foun\u00adda\u00adtion\u2019s ERP sys\u00adtem, HR sys\u00adtems and POS sys\u00adtem. The solu\u00adtion uti\u00adlizes Azure\u2019s Data Lake, where data is gath\u00adered from dif\u00adfer\u00adent sys\u00adtems and cre\u00adates a basis for analy\u00adsis and report\u00ading. Weath\u00ader data from the inter\u00adface of the Finnish Mete\u00ado\u00adro\u00adlog\u00adi\u00adcal Insti\u00adtute (FMI) has also been import\u00aded into the solu\u00adtion. This makes it pos\u00adsi\u00adble to assess the impact of weath\u00ader con\u00addi\u00adtions on cus\u00adtomer flows, prof\u00aditabil\u00adi\u00adty and oper\u00ada\u00adtional actions.<\/p>\n Islet expand\u00aded the sys\u00adtem to include new data sources and report\u00ading enti\u00adties. T\u00e4m\u00e4 POC-projekti auttoi Linnanm\u00e4ke\u00e4 ymm\u00e4rt\u00e4m\u00e4\u00e4n Power BI:n mahdollisuudet modernina analytiikkaty\u00f6kaluna ja sai organisaatiolta positiivista palautetta, mik\u00e4 vahvisti p\u00e4\u00e4t\u00f6st\u00e4 laajentaa ratkaisua.<\/p> Seuraavassa vaiheessa Islet toteutti uuden data-alustan Lakehouse-arkkitehtuurilla (Medallion-arkkitehtuuri) Microsoft Azure pilvipalveluun. Ratkaisun ytimen\u00e4 toimii Azure Synapse Analytics, joka mahdollistaa tehokkaan tiedonhallinnan ja -tuonnin useista l\u00e4hdej\u00e4rjestelmist\u00e4, kuten s\u00e4\u00e4ti\u00f6n toiminnanohjausj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4st\u00e4, HR-j\u00e4rjestelmist\u00e4 ja kassaj\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4st\u00e4. Ratkaisu hy\u00f6dynt\u00e4\u00e4 Azuren Data Lakea, johon data kootaan yhteen eri j\u00e4rjestelmist\u00e4 ja luodaan pohja analyysille ja raportoinnille. Ratkaisuun on tuotu my\u00f6s s\u00e4\u00e4tiedot Ilmatieteen laitoksen (FMI) rajapinnasta. T\u00e4m\u00e4 mahdollistaa s\u00e4\u00e4tilan vaikutuksen arvioimisen asiakasvirtoihin, kannattavuuteen ja operatiivisiin toimiin.<\/p> Islet laajensi j\u00e4rjestelm\u00e4\u00e4 ottamalla mukaan uusia tietol\u00e4hteit\u00e4 ja raportointikokonaisuuksia. Power BI:n p\u00e4\u00e4lle rakennetut raportit palvelevat nyt monipuolisesti eri toimintoja \u2013 taloushallinnosta ja henkil\u00f6st\u00f6n suunnittelusta aina huvipuiston operatiiviseen johtamiseen saakka.
