Many orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtions have already migrat\u00aded to Microsoft Azure<\/a><\/span>, and con\u00adser\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtive\u00adly esti\u00admat\u00aded, over 80% of Fin\u00adland\u2019s largest orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtions use Azure for some areas of their busi\u00adness, for exam\u00adple for vir\u00adtu\u00adal machines, soft\u00adware devel\u00adop\u00adment, inte\u00adgra\u00adtions, data plat\u00adforms or advanced ana\u00adlyt\u00adics, as well as machine learning<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ear\u00adli\u00ader, orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtions either had their own data cen\u00adter or they bought data cen\u00adter ser\u00advices from a part\u00adner (in hybrid mod\u00adels it still exists and will remain with us to some extent). The pat\u00adtern was clear, that is, all infra\u00adstruc\u00adture came from one source, and one part\u00adner or ded\u00adi\u00adcat\u00aded team was respon\u00adsi\u00adble for all server\u2011, network\u2011, fire\u00adwall- and ser\u00advice-relat\u00aded issues.<\/p>\n

With\u00adout div\u00ading deep\u00ader into the ben\u00ade\u00adfits of pub\u00adlic cloud, the world has changed sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant\u00adly since the afore\u00admen\u00adtioned mod\u00adel, with a much short\u00ader go-to-mar\u00adket time for the lat\u00adest solu\u00adtions, where there is no need to order a serv\u00ader and wait for some\u00adone to car\u00adry it down the hall and con\u00adnect it to the network.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s still best to keep the main\u00adte\u00adnance of the basic infra\u00adstruc\u00adture with one part\u00adner in the pub\u00adlic cloud, which means that one part\u00adner is respon\u00adsi\u00adble for all the basic ports and net\u00adworks with fire\u00adwalls. How\u00adev\u00ader, the pub\u00adlic cloud world allows a more effi\u00adcient and flex\u00adi\u00adble model.<\/p>\n

The over\u00adall solu\u00adtion for a par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar domain, which is in your own Azure sub\u00adscrip\u00adtion (or sev\u00ader\u00adal), can be pur\u00adchased from a niche part\u00adner in that domain. So even if one part\u00adner han\u00addles the Azure resources and basic infra\u00adstruc\u00adture issues, it makes sense to out\u00adsource cer\u00adtain spe\u00adcif\u00adic solu\u00adtions to oth\u00ader part\u00adners. That allows this par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar part\u00adner to han\u00addle all the basics, with\u00adout order\u00ading work from a gen\u00ader\u00adal part\u00adner who does not have deep knowl\u00adedge of the spe\u00adcif\u00adic solu\u00adtion in question.<\/p>\n

The method described is Microsoft\u00ad\u2019s Cloud Solu\u00adtion Provider (CSP) mod\u00adel<\/a>.<\/strong> In this mod\u00adel, the niche part\u00adner can offer an Azure sub\u00adscrip\u00adtion to a cus\u00adtomer, with the costs going through that part\u00adner, and the part\u00adner also has exten\u00adsive rights and capa\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adties to track the costs. The CSP mod\u00adel nev\u00ader com\u00admits the cus\u00adtomer orga\u00adni\u00adza\u00adtion to buy Azure con\u00adsump\u00adtion from a par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar part\u00adner, but the part\u00adner can be changed very eas\u00adi\u00adly if nec\u00ades\u00adsary (unless lim\u00adit\u00aded by con\u00adtracts between the parties).<\/p>\n

Islet pro\u00advides Azure resources to its cus\u00adtomers on a CSP mod\u00adel, includ\u00ading SAP on Azure deliv\u00adery, and of course in the data and ana\u00adlyt\u00adics area. The abil\u00adi\u00adty to take respon\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty for the incur\u00adring costs, and to use cost man\u00adage\u00adment capa\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adties, improves ser\u00advice lev\u00adels and keeps costs under control.<\/p>\n
