In the begin\u00adning of 2021, the com\u00adpa\u00adnies orga\u00adnize a&nbsp;free-of-charge chal\u00adlenge relat\u00aded to user inter\u00adface design and appli\u00adca\u00adtion devel\u00adop\u00adment with the <a href=\"https:\/\/mimmitkoodaa.ohjelmistoebusiness.fi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#mim\u00admitkoodaa<\/a> (#wom\u00aden\u00adcode) move\u00adment, which has grown rapid\u00adly in the past years in Finland.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The World Eco\u00adnom\u00adic Forum (WEF) has esti\u00admat\u00aded that over 90&nbsp;% of future work will require advanced dig\u00adi\u00adtal skills. Hence, equal\u00adi\u00adty in tech indus\u00adtry serves the entire soci\u00adety in the long run. It is also impor\u00adtant that women are involved in devel\u00adop\u00ading tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy, so that the women and girls\u2019 needs are con\u00adsid\u00adered bet\u00adter in these solu\u00adtions. In addi\u00adtion, diver\u00adsi\u00adty dri\u00adves inno\u00adva\u00adtions, which are the life\u00adline of con\u00adtin\u00adu\u00adous\u00adly evolv\u00ading and devel\u00adop\u00ading companies.<\/p>\n<p>Islet and SAP have cre\u00adat\u00aded a&nbsp;two-step chal\u00adlenge, which aims to make an impact in many ways. The women get to indi\u00adrect\u00adly con\u00adtribute to a&nbsp;char\u00adi\u00adty cause of pro\u00adtect\u00ading the Baltic sea as part of already tra\u00addi\u00adtion\u00adal <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/isletgroup.fi\/en\/2019\/12\/16\/9797\/\">#Islet\u00adgoe\u00adsIt\u00e4meri<\/a><\/strong> cam\u00adpaign. In the \u201d<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/isletgroup.fi\/en\/2020\/12\/16\/learn-how-to-design-and-code-a-user-interface\/\">Move with Pur\u00adpose<\/a><\/strong>\u201d chal\u00adlenge, to be launched on Fri\u00adday 22nd Jan\u00adu\u00adary 2021, the women first design a&nbsp;User Inter\u00adface for the appli\u00adca\u00adtion and then code the appli\u00adca\u00adtion. The UI design\u00ading and pro\u00adgram\u00adming are both car\u00adried out on SAP\u2019s design and devel\u00adop\u00adment plat\u00adforms. The end goal is to cre\u00adate an app which is used for sub\u00admit\u00adting and track\u00ading of walk\u00ading, run\u00adning, and\/\u200bor cycling kilo\u00adme\u00adters in the #Islet\u00adgoe\u00adsIt\u00e4meri cam\u00adpaign. Also, euros that accu\u00admu\u00adlate in rela\u00adtion to the kilo\u00adme\u00adters are tracked and final\u00adly donat\u00aded to WWF to pro\u00adtect the Baltic Sea.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13583 \" src=\"https:\/\/isletgroup.fi\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Sanna_Fierce-2_vaaka-1024x684.jpg\" alt width=\"598\" height=\"400\"><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=\u201c4.6.6\u201d _module_preset=\u201cdefault\u201d]<\/p>\n<p>Pro\u00admot\u00ading diver\u00adsi\u00adty is noth\u00ading new to Islet nor SAP. On the con\u00adtrary \u2013 Islet Group has always been a&nbsp;pio\u00adneer for a&nbsp;diverse and ver\u00adsa\u00adtile work\u00ading and think\u00ading in the world of tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy. In an indus\u00adtry where males form a&nbsp;vast major\u00adi\u00adty, Islet is a&nbsp;rar\u00adi\u00adty: the com\u00adpa\u00adny was found\u00aded by a&nbsp;woman and through\u00adout its 23-year-old his\u00adto\u00adry the CEO has been a&nbsp;woman. Women also form 50&nbsp;% of the exec\u00adu\u00adtive board and 52&nbsp;% of all of company\u2019s employ\u00adees. We are proud to be dif\u00adfer\u00adent. We gen\u00aduine\u00adly want to improve gen\u00adder equal\u00adi\u00adty in tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy and encour\u00adage women to pur\u00adsue careers in&nbsp;IT.<\/p>\n<p>Islet\u2019s part\u00adner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sap.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>SAP<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 a&nbsp;multi\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal, world\u2019s lead\u00ading solu\u00adtion provider for ERP sys\u00adtems and tech\u00adnolo\u00adgies \u2013 strong\u00adly believes that a&nbsp;diverse work\u00adforce is an impor\u00adtant com\u00adpet\u00adi\u00adtive advan\u00adtage. For 10&nbsp;years SAP has con\u00adtin\u00adu\u00adous\u00adly increased the per\u00adcent\u00adage of women in their man\u00adage\u00adment posi\u00adtions. Accord\u00ading to their own data, cur\u00adrent\u00adly 27&nbsp;% of its lead\u00aders and 34&nbsp;% of all its employ\u00adees are women. Even though change comes slow\u00adly, in recent years, SAP\u2019s efforts for more diverse work\u00ading life have been wide\u00adly not\u00aded \u2013 f. ex. Forbes ranked SAP as the best employ\u00ader for diver\u00adsi\u00adty for 2020, and for sec\u00adond con\u00adsec\u00adu\u00adtive year, SAP was also select\u00aded for inclu\u00adsion in the Bloomberg Gen\u00adder-Equal\u00adi\u00adty Index, which rec\u00adog\u00adnizes com\u00adpa\u00adnies that are com\u00admit\u00adted to trans\u00adpar\u00adent gen\u00adder report\u00ading and advanc\u00ading women\u2019s equality.<\/p>\n<p>Islet and SAP whole-heart\u00aded\u00adly sup\u00adport #mim\u00admitkoodaa (#wom\u00aden\u00adcode) \u2011move\u00adment and pro\u00admote diver\u00adsi\u00adty in the field of tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy. The pur\u00adpose of the move\u00adment is not only to encour\u00adage women inter\u00adest\u00aded of the soft\u00adware indus\u00adtry to learn cod\u00ading and pur\u00adsue careers in IT, but also to make it more acces\u00adsi\u00adble to them. Togeth\u00ader with its part\u00adners com\u00adpa\u00adnies, the move\u00adment pro\u00advides free of charge train\u00adings and events for women with diverse back\u00adgrounds and with\u00adout any pri\u00ador expe\u00adri\u00adence of cod\u00ading.
