Islet Sus­tain­abil­i­ty Strat­e­gy – for build­ing a bet­ter future

Islet Group has pub­lished its Sus­tain­abil­i­ty Strat­e­gy that out­lines the focus areas and efforts relat­ed to sus­tain­abil­i­ty. Through­out its 25-year his­to­ry, Islet Group has been known for its com­mit­ment to inno­va­tion, diverse think­ing, and sus­tain­able growth. The strat­e­gy under­scores our mis­sion to lever­age the lat­est tech­nolo­gies to make the world a bet­ter place.

Islet’s Sus­tain­abil­i­ty Strat­e­gy is built around three pil­lars: Peo­ple, Plan­et, and Sus­tain­able Busi­ness. Each pil­lar aligns with the broad­er goals of social equal­i­ty, cli­mate change mit­i­ga­tion, and cre­at­ing sus­tain­able and inno­v­a­tive busi­ness models.

Under the ‘Peo­ple’ pil­lar, Islet is com­mit­ted to pro­mot­ing social equal­i­ty and diver­si­ty, enhanc­ing employ­ee sat­is­fac­tion, pri­or­i­tiz­ing health and well-being, and fos­ter­ing life­long learn­ing. These ini­tia­tives reflect Islet’s belief in the val­ue of its peo­ple – Islet­ters – and its com­mit­ment to cre­at­ing an inclu­sive, safe, and nur­tur­ing work­ing environment.

The ‘Plan­et’ pil­lar under­lines Islet’s ded­i­ca­tion to achiev­ing car­bon neu­tral­i­ty, pro­mot­ing bio­di­ver­si­ty, and work­ing towards zero-waste oper­a­tions. These goals high­light the urgent need to halt cli­mate change and pro­tect our plan­et’s diverse ecosys­tems. We rec­og­nize the impor­tance of the envi­ron­ment and bio­di­ver­si­ty, and we active­ly take col­lec­tive action, for exam­ple to sup­port the work of WWF for the pro­tec­tion of Baltic Sea.

Last­ly, the ‘Sus­tain­able Busi­ness’ pil­lar focus­es on ensur­ing cus­tomer sat­is­fac­tion, con­tin­ued excel­lence, and green inno­va­tions. Islet is com­mit­ted to sup­port­ing its cus­tomers and oth­er stake­hold­ers in reach­ing their sus­tain­abil­i­ty tar­gets, accel­er­at­ing sus­tain­able devel­op­ment, and boost­ing pos­i­tive impact.

The tree pil­lars also tie togeth­er with the UN Sus­tain­able Devel­op­ment Goals (SDG’s) that Islet con­cen­trates on. Islet has cho­sen to focus on Gen­der Equal­i­ty (#5), Respon­si­ble Con­sump­tion and Pro­duc­tion (#12), and Cli­mate Action (#13). Read more about our work for these.

Islet’s Sus­tain­abil­i­ty Strat­e­gy ties togeth­er the work that we have done already for years along with some of our lat­est com­mit­ments to sus­tain­abil­i­ty. We want to con­tin­u­ous­ly take sig­nif­i­cant steps for­ward, but we rec­og­nize that we are part of a larg­er com­mu­ni­ty. We hope to inspire oth­er tech­nol­o­gy com­pa­nies to incor­po­rate sus­tain­abil­i­ty into their core busi­ness strate­gies. As we con­tin­ue to inno­vate and strive for sus­tain­able suc­cess, we aim to con­tribute pos­i­tive­ly to a more sus­tain­able and inclu­sive tech­nol­o­gy industry.

We warm­ly invite our fel­low orga­ni­za­tions, part­ners, and cus­tomers to join us on this mis­sion. Togeth­er, we can lever­age tech­nol­o­gy to make a sig­nif­i­cant impact on the plan­et.
